THE GEOMETRY OF GRACE

At Emmanuel Baptist Fellowship and the Black Madonna of Perpetual Help, we are proud to be ecumenical, welcoming and affirming, and creators of a space space. But we are more than that. We are a people of deep faith. We embrace the mystical tradition of both the Baptist and Catholic traditions and we believe that a Mystical Union can bring us ALL together, regardless of of the differences that some use to keep us apart. This is what our logo is meant to represent. The Metatron is a symbol of sacred geometry that represents the map of the universe, it is all inclusive bringing together in one holy unity differences and diversities. This is what and who we are. It starts with our Pastor who is ordained in both the Baptist and Catholic traditions. It continues through our policies of loving all our neighbors as we are commanded to by Christ, and it ends in a Mystical Union with God, through the fellowship that love created.

1. The Architecture of Inclusion

Metatron’s Cube is unique because it contains within it every “Platonic Solid”—the fundamental building blocks of all matter in the universe. To us, this is a visual metaphor for our community: diverse shapes and different walks of life, all held together in a singular, harmonious design. In this fellowship, there is room for every part of God’s creation.

2. The Intersection of Faith and Reason

We aren’t afraid of questions, science, or the deep mysteries of the universe. By using a symbol rooted in Sacred Geometry, we signal that our faith is one of intellectual curiosity. We believe that the same God who “ordered the stars” is present in the precise beauty of mathematics and the complex reality of our daily lives.

3. Emmanuel: God Within the Grid

Our name, Emmanuel, means “God with us.” In the logo, the complex lines all originate from and return to a central point. This reminds us that God is not a distant observer but is woven into the very fabric of our existence—present in the structure of the atom and the heart of the neighbor.

4. The Black Madonna of Perpetual Help

Emmanuel also reminds us of the incarnation, when God was born to Mary to be with us in the flesh. Thus, we celebrate and honor Mary and ask for your intervention. She is present, she is loving, but she is also defiant of injustice. She is strong, resilient, and she protects and is the recourse to all who hurt and fear.

When you see our logo see an invitation to look closer,

to find the hidden patterns of grace,

and to join a community where you—

in all your beautiful complexity—belong.
